I've had this pack for four years and it's traveled through seven countries. It is incredibly durable. I definitely acknowledge other reviewers' concerns about the lightweight materials and seemingly small water bottle holders but I've put my pack through the ringer and it is still in pristine condition with no scratches, rips or stretching on any part of the materials. And if you want it as a second/day trip hiking option, you can take the wire frame out and roll up it very small. It also squeaks by as a "personal" size item on airplanes that fits under seats. Which means no baggage fees on bargain airlines. I love this bag.

I wish i could give it less than 1 star or send it back but unfortunately I already put grommets in it and used it last weekend.Lets just start by saying that it has absolutely no padding on the shoulder straps or the hip straps. At 30l is a pretty nice size that would accommodate quite a bit of gear for a day trip but after you load it it cuts into your shoulders because it had no reinforcement to keep the straps from folding over. Also the fabric is very flimsy.I wish I would have paid more attention to the pictures or description when I bought it,even though i would have never expected such a flaw in design

Bought this for day hikes since we now have 2 kids and lots of stuff to carry. It can hold a lot or a little and functions very well. Very lightweight. Can't speak to durability yet but seems well made. I'm not sure I'd pick this for serious pack trips because the straps are a little narrow.

VERY light-weight. Has most of the features I was looking: side mesh pockets big enough (just barely) for 1-liter Nalgene water bottles; elastic lacing for carrying a jacket or small tarp; smaller outside zip pocket, a couple of tie-down loops and a very good ventilation system that keeps your back from getting too sweaty. HOWEVER, for a 30-liter day pack, the shoulder straps are way undersized - way too flimsy with very little padding. Just the weight of two liters of water causes the shoulder-straps to cut into your shoulders and pecs. After a mle or so you will find yourself putting your hands between the straps and your body. That's bad.
BEWARE! Nice design but only buy this with a DEEP discount and be prepared to add on some extra shoulder strap padding!!! Light-weight but it's no Gregory.
    • Cons: Shoulderstraps undersized
    • Pros: Light w great ventilation
