These curtain rods are perfect for hanging our lace curtains in our log home. Just the right --not fancy-- look. And very sturdy --something we couldn't find anywhere around here, even in Salem. Everything at this price was very flimsy.

This drapery rod looks nice enough from a distance, but don't look too closely. One finial's threads stripped after we unscrewed it just once and is just sitting on the end of the rod. It holds up the curtains, and that's really all we need it to do.
The two main rod pieces connect together by using the "cuff" which squeezes to go inside both of the main pieces. Push both of the pieces together until they are flush. This may scratch the cuff a little. The smaller rod piece then goes into the end of the main rod, then the end caps can be tightened into place on the ends of the smaller piece and the main piece.
