    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Not well designed, not well made. A plastic plug is held on the wall by a screw and fits into the base of the bracket. So the only thing holding up the rod is the friction. After a couple of days the brackets pulled off the wall. Also, the finials are too loose to stay on the rod.
