Well constructed and well designed for travel. Top shelf quality- materials and craftsmanship. Will last a long time and stay in one piece.
I use the day pack very often for day-hikes since it is designed to carry up to a 3 liter Camelbak-type product. and has enough room to throw in a military poncho, munchies and tunes.
While the larger pack is not practical for extended or frequent backpackeing trips (due to the weight-to-capacity ratio), it is fine for overnights and weekenders. It is very comfortable and loads shift very little. The large pack weighs 6 pounds or so; The capacity: Backpack 3346 cu.in. Daypack 854 cu.in. Total Weight: 7 lb. 4 oz.
The large pack is jam-packed with features travelers will enjoy like the specific places for keys, identification, personal items, etc. All-in-all, this is a keeper!

I was looking for a pack that would accommodate my main lugguge needs on a two-week trip to England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and Paris that I just completed yesterday. I loaded it with about 35 lbs, and I did a lot of traveling by plane, train, and bus. I wanted something that was easy to pack and unpack, that was comfortable to carry on short trips, and that would give me a daypack flexibility. The 4200 is a great pack for the traveler. I would say that it met 90% of my needs during the recent trip. It had more than enough compartments, and the side opening zippers made it easy to pack and unpack. The detachable daypack though is really too small to be of much use. I could carry as much gear in a couple of coat pockets in my shell parka, so I left it behind on most of my day trips. Also, I didn't care for the way it attached to the main pack (too difficult to attach and detach). Overall, I would consider this pack to be a great value, and I am very happy with my purchase. It weathered the trip quite well, and I'm looking forward to getting many years of travel service out of it.
