Victorinox Swiss Army Quad Pocket Military Jacket - Water-Repellent Twill

Like most Victorinox stuff this is really well put together. Finicky detail but still tough as nails. The cotton/nylon blend feels more soft like cotton than hard/slick like nylon and not prickly like cordura. Wears quiet like cotton too--I forget that there's anything but cotton in it. But the nylon gives it an abrasion resistance that I've been testing in hot windy conditions at altitude in the desert. Very tough wearing. Also the ventilation really works. I've worn this at length in 100 deg heat for protection against wind and blowing sand, and the jacket stays surprisingly cool inside. Also rolls up fairly small for stuffing in the pack. Surprisingly useful casual jacket--has a bush jacket look without the empire effect. But also very functional for tough outdoors.

very light weight more shirt like---not at all what I expected am returning it.

I am travelling extensively and this is wearable in many occassions because I do not want to be showy for safety reasons.I bought two different colors, moss green and khaki.

The jacket is an European design and the cutting seems smaller than the US design (ex. Columbia). If one is very slim, it is a very good jacket, but my friend is very big and it seems small for him on the waist. He can't even button up, but the shoulder and sleeve length fit fine. He likes it a lot and just can't wear it when it is cold.
