Victorinox Swiss Army Mobilizer NXT Beret Tote Bag - Wheeled

Just love this bag. This bag fits in the trunk of our MINI Cooper Convertable car. I know I'll get many years of tuff love from in tote.

Christmas present so hasn't been used yet...but I am sure it will get lots of use as we are frequent travelers.

This bag is a great unisex bag for weekend trips

I have only just started using the bag. But based on past experience with a lot of different pieces of luggage, this bag seems solid to me. It also seems heavy for its smallish size. The long, purse like handles are also a bit odd and I am adjusting to them slowly. It makes the bag hard to pick up quickly. I am used to the short stubby handle which is standard on most roller bags.

I am fortunate enough to be able to use mass transit to commute to work. I use this bag to carry the shoes I change into at work (in the plastic section) and my many plastic containers of food for lunch in the other section. I am VERY happy how smoothly this bag rolls on my walk to and from the commuter bus. The handle collapses easily - I don't have to manhandle the bag to switch from carrying it using the straps to rolling it.

This would have been a perfect carry on if it could then be added to the top of a larger, wheeled checked bag. That arrangement is possible, but doesn't work at all well.

I'm on a budget, and this is definitely a good deal. I have a shoulder injury, and I need a rolling option to handle the weight in airports where there are distances to carry luggage. I looked at the Werks rolling tote because it is 2 pounds lighter, but the Werks rolling tote is unstable in packing and unpacking and just doesn't have the feeling of quality that this piece has. My other luggage is Hartmann. The Hartmann option is $350 and is a bit wider, and this could be a problem under the seat in an asile on Southwest which has an official width of 13 inches. The Hartmann rolling tote has a more useful, more multi-purpose pocket configuration. The reason I give the Victoronix Beret Mobilizer 4 rather than 5 is due to the fact I would have prefered a more multi-purpose approach to the interior pockets rather than pockets for a "beauty case". The handle of the Victonix Beret seems very well engineered, and I think that is an indication of the quality overall. The front pocket has more "give" than I was expecting which is a big plus.
