Reviewed by Sam from Texas on Monday, December 16, 2013Instructions not clear about what works what. Have not been able to get the second hand to work. It only ran two hours after I took it off. The day set is very out of date. You have to wind it around through 24 hours to move forward one day rather than the stem just moving the days forward. Gould not recommend this model of their usually great watch.

Reviewed by Love good quality from Australia on Sunday, November 17, 2013OK I feel a bit guilty. I've been meaning to write a review for Victorinox style no. 241295 that I bought on Sierra over a year ago. It is the "dressier" version of this "sports" watch. Same rec retail price, same chronograph, same date window, same stainless steel band. To sum it up, the build quality and classic design of these Alliance watches is amazing for the price. I bought a Tissot Swiss watch before my Victorinox thinking it looked better and would be better quality. Wrong on both counts. One of the numbers fell off during postage and it looked slightly flakey quality. Had to send it back. These Victorinox watches are very good quality and have classic good looks and design. I've read other reviews that say the quality of the band is more like a $2000 Swiss watch. Have to agree. The only small gripe is that the date window is very simple: only does 31 day months. Also the solid stainless steel is a bit heavy. But it is a MAN'S watch :) And definitely solid and good looking :)

Reviewed by Coloradocut from Colorado on Wednesday, June 19, 2013I was looking for a durable, casual watch for work and home and this watch fits the bill, especially for the price. I did some research into the manufacturer and seems Victorinox has made an effort to make a quality line of watches with Swiss-made components in the spirit of the knives they've been supplying to the Swiss Army for over 100 years. The stop watch/lap timer is a nice feature, once you learn the layout of the multiple dials. The tachymeter is probably not as useful to me, but it doesn't detract from the watch. My only complaint is the weight of the watch, but I suppose that'll play into its durability and it's become a non-issue as I've gotten use to wearing it.
