    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought this as a replacement for the Victorinox Officer's watch because the band kept suddenly opening. This watch had a different band clasp design; but when I actually saw and felt it, I didn't like its bulk and weight. The watch itself is thicker than the Officer's watch and that too was a drawback. There are better watches to be had for the same price or less such as similar Seiko models.

    My husband had to set the time, i could not get the crown out, than he was not able to get it out once more to set the date. It must be a factory defect. Too bad, the watch looks really nice, but I enjoyed it only for a short time. I had to send it back.
