Victorinox Swiss Army Navigator CS Casual Traveler Wheeled Upright - 24", Expandable

Bought this model to replace my battle-scarred Victorinix WERKS, purchased in 2004. That case is in fine usuable (if battered) condition BUT .. made in China! the retractable handle on my 2004 broke and cannot be replaced. Unfixable. So I'll take my chances with this new piece from the Navigator series, which is much lighter than "Werks" (a plus!) but offers fewer features for interior organization. We'll see how well it holds up... so far, rolls smoothly, easy to control. I put twenty-plus years on my made-in-AMerica Hartmann luggage... times change.

Love the expandible ability. Seems well made but this is my first trip with the bag. How it will hold up long term is yet to be seen. Handles great and packs lots of clothes!

My wife & I have a couple of trips planned for this year, so I bought some new suitcases (two of these; the other one is the larger 27 in model). I had expected, with the Victorinox name, that this suitcase would be practical, convenient, and rock-solid durable. The wheels and retracting handle seem sturdy enough, and the suitcases appear be spacious and easy to pack and use. However, I did notice that the framing (infrastructure) seemed very weak - the suitcase had a lot of flex to it with very little pressure. So, we will have to see how well it will hold up at the hands of the baggage handlers! I will have to hold my Bottom Line Recommendation until after our first trip.

I wanted a lightweight suitcase and find that the ones with lots of pockets weigh more, so I'm happy that this is just a basic model. The wheels are big enough. I don't like the basic black but tie on a ribbon so it will stand out on the carousel. Quality seems fine but will have to see how it holds up over time.
