I like the Victorinox brand and have other suitcases by them, but this model has proven to be very vulnerable because of the straps and their clips/fasteners. After my first trip both plastic strap fasteners were destroyed and the straps were left dangling. If I use this bag again I'll have to cut/remove the straps because they are a danger hanging loose. The bag is fairly lightweight, which attracted me in the first place. But I would not take a chance and buy again.

If you are looking for a bag with lots of pockets and organizers, you're going to be disappointed. If you're looking for a bag that will let you get two weeks worth of stuff in and still make the airlines' 50 pound limit, you're going to love this. Handle and wheels are well made. Frame is lightweight but really took a beating on a recent trip. Sadly, the rough handling damaged one of the exterior plastic strap clips. It looks as if the handlers or equipment ripped it out of the side. That said, the rest of the bag was clearly badly abused (dirtied and scuffed) but came through in great shape.

My wife & I have a couple of trips planned for this year, so I bought some new suitcases (one of these and two of the the smaller 24 in model). I had expected, with the Victorinox name, that this suitcase would be practical, convenient, and rock-solid durable. The wheels and retracting handle seem sturdy enough, and the suitcase appears be spacious and easy to pack and use. However, I did notice that the framing (infrastructure) seemed very weak - the suitcase had a lot of flex to it with very little pressure. So, we will have to see how well it will hold up at the hands of the baggage handlers! I will have to hold my Bottom Line Recommendation until after our first trip.

Well constructed. Like the semi rigid sides, protects contents very well and that combined with the strapping keeps contents from shifting. Easy to identify. Handles easily. Use it weekly. Bought one for my husband too.

Not a good choice for business trips. No interior organizers save a single small wet garment bag. Flimsy for its size; does not appear to be durable. Lack of rigidity results in even carefully packed clothing shifting around and becoming wrinkled. Might be OK for a vacation where one needed a large bag for casual clothes. [...]
