Viyella Multi-Check Sport Shirt - Cotton-Wool, Long Sleeve (For Men)
Closeouts. Now in their second exceptional century of business, Viyella shirts are legendary for their soft, dress-weight fabric that blends long-staple cotton and fine merino wool in just the right amounts to produce lightness, warmth and durability.
Reviewed by Robert from Brisbane, Australia on Tuesday, May 20, 2014I ordered two of these 80% cotton 20% wool viyella shirts (including this one), and I think they're great! They're well made (in Canada), I find the sizing to be correct and they're very comfortable (ie. a regular fit with a bit of room to move, not 'slim fit' affairs). They differ slightly from the English Tattersall pattern versions (which I inherited from my father), but these are way more my style. I haven't had the shirts long enough to say how they wear over time, but my guess is they will maybe fade slightly and age graciously. I'll wear them with jeans on a cooler day in what counts for winter in this part of the world, but they could also be worn with a jacket and tie if you wanted. I'm so Impressed I'm thinking seriously about getting two more! I hope the manufacturer keeps making them.
PS - these shirts are 100% free of annoying logos. They speak for themselves.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ninobear from Heber City Utah 84032 on Tuesday, February 12, 2013I bought these shirts because of their name and reputation both of which I know well. I would use them for smart casual wear.
The price was certainly attractive and on line the shirts looked very appealing. Well made products but missing the classic Englishness which I was looking for and is one of their most attractive features. The 80/20 cotton/wool blend is highly sought after.
I had to return these shirts which initially I was delighted to find available. The main criticisms were the patterns and the colours. Made in Canada and obviously destined for the US market Viyella is a famous UK mark and I would pay more for garments of genuine UK origin. A little disappointed I have to say.
