They are shell pants and appear very well constructed. They could use a leg cargo type pocket to improve the available of / usable pockets.

Love that they have a way to tighten/adjust waist. He is super tall so wish they came in longer length. Love the bright blue color and weight of them. Much nicer than kids snow pants will last a long time.
