Verified Buyer Reviewed by MissMoe from Illinois on Monday, December 15, 2014I love giving great reviews, but sometimes you have to tell it like it is. I am not sure "who" this jacket is designed for but I know it's NOT ME. If the only thing you are doing is standing around with your arms straight down by your side, i think this will work, but if you plan TO MOVE in this coat you can forget it. The outer material is SO STIFF that the whole coat moves as one piece or unit when you lift an arm? What's that about? Maybe it gets better with wearing it awhile, but who would want too? The coat itself is well made and the fit is good and so is the sizing, BUT....As far as the clip in face mask, I was expecting a "mask" and what it came with was basically a piece of flimsy material that would take more effort to mess with than what it's worth. I think the jacket itself has a good warmth factor because for the few minutes I had it on I got warm quickly, while inside the house. However, I ended up sending the coat back in search of a puffier, moveable parka style mid-thigh warm winter snow jacket.I think this one is a pass ladies...sorry, I was disappointed too. The description is misleading on this jacket for sure.
Reviewed by Annie the Runner from Connecticut on Thursday, September 5, 2013This jacket was so stiff that I couldn't move--and that was wearing over a t-shirt! When I moved my arms up and down the chest area of the jacket moved as one piece. It was not a flattering look at all as it was very boxy. I didn't try it outside so I don't know if it was warm or not.
I was looking for a jacket to wear on recess duty, but this was not going to work so I returned it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by chicago from chicago on Thursday, December 27, 2012Very well made but sleeves lack insulation. My arms got cold just from walking around town in 35F rainy weather. I had a long sleeve sweater and a button down denim shirt over the sweater. Some feathers do fall out and stick to clothes, especially sweaters.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Shoe Gal from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, December 26, 2012I bought this for myself for Christmas. It looks quite masculine from the front with more taper in the back. I wore it today for the first time. It is -38 degrees celsius. I wasn't even a little cold. The back vent zippers felt quite stiff at first. softened up after wearing it a bit. Lots of pockets and features. A great jacket!

“I generally wear a size L for women - which is usually a 14. I noticed here that a Large is noted as size 11.
Which size notation should I trust? Is it an 11, or will it fit like most women's size L?
Please follow the individual sizing on the item. For this item L = 11.
