No, I would not recommend this to a friend

“Product made of plastic. Smells of plastic when filled with hot drink. Don't like my Kona coffee with overtones of plastic. I do have a very sensitive sense of smell so this may not bother most. Maybe it will go away after the cup has had some time to air?”
