Wagan Ultra Compact Emergency Worklight

This is a great little light for keeping in your car. It's bright enough to get things done, and it doesn't wear down your battery that fast.

The picture says all you need to know about this product. It plugs into 12v DC using a fairly long cord, and provides light. The product has very little weight to it, and the yellow plastic is very cheap feeling, but that's most likely because it is very cheap. The lamp came with a piece of packaging material inside the tube that contains the bulb, so you need to unscrew/disassemble the tube to get it out. For the price (especially with discount) it's a great thing to keep as a trouble light in the car. I also use a portable 12v rechargeable battery pack when car camping, so combined with this it gives me a good florescent lantern without having to buy dozens of D batteries, or those pricey 6V cells.

A decent value, but quality may be an issue. Suggest keeping this in a protected area of the trunk or camper shell as the hook and case are very lightweight plastic.

This isn't a high quality light that you'd really want to rely on in an emergency, but it's great for home use around your car. It's also great for room lighting during a blackout as it's current drain is very low for the light output. Connect this to a common 7 Amp 12 v battery and you'll light up a good sized room for 24 hours.

I bought this light because I've been looking for a good trouble light for my car emergency kit. The quality seems good and I like the design. However, I luckily have not used it for it's intended purpose yet.
