I was hoping there were some tricks to get this thing to work well, but if there are, I haven't figured them out. No matter what station I use or where I place the device, the sound quality is not only bad, but unstable. Sometimes I find a 'sweet spot' where it sounds okay for a while, but it never lasts. It's annoying and frustrating to have the sound get worse and worse. I only try to use this when I am utterly desperate for decent tunes or podcasts in my car. Obviously I need to just update my sound system, but was hoping this would be a good workaround. It isn't.

Arrived loose in the box, the actually packaging was open, no instructions, and a token granola bar. Did not have the cigarette lighter adaptor, but in retrospect, I realize the amperage is too high not to directly wire to the battery. Didn't want to do that, so I send it back. Cost me $10 to find out it wasn't what I wanted. Wouldn't have kept it any, poor packaging was too suspicios for damage.

Using the wall wart, 24 hrs gives you 75% charge, and up to 48 hrs for 100% charge. Despite the slow charging, this item still gets 5 stars because it addresses dead car battery, low tire pressure, emergency light, USB power, 200W AC inverter, radio... so versatile, I bought a second one. If you use LED home lights, and your power grid fails often (as it does in Hawaii), having two units and LED lights gives you plenty of light upstairs and downstairs.
