I have continual problems with leaks along the bladder seam. I have repaired it several times but it doesn't hold for long. Attempts to contact Waterskeeter about a replacement bladder have failed with no response from the company.

This is my second Day Tripper. 1st one failed in it's 2nd year, out of warranty. 1st one lost a pontoon. I waited 4 years and purchased another last week. It blew a seam weld in the upper tube bladder on initial pumping up before it reached full capacity. Never even got wet. Naturally I was a 4 hour drive to a private lake from home. Thank goodness it was not in the middle of the lake, the whole thing would collapse in a tangled mess between the pontoons.

This is the third Daytripper in use by our group. Lots more storage that standard float-tube. Unbeatable at this price!

I've had my day tripper since 2003 and I gave it to my son as his first boat. The only puncture I suffered was due to a 5/0 Owner a bass spit at the boat when I went to lip him...the seat kept me at a level float with a pontoon entirely deflated in rough chop for 200 yards before I got ashore and patched the hole while catching fish from the bank...I used this boat for 3 years as my only kickboat. If you respect your equipment it will respect you...DO NOT store ANY float tube inflated, release at least ½ the volume of air before traveling or storing your boat and it will be rewarding. Do not store your boat wet in a confined space while wet as it will smell funky and mildew while stinking up your camper shell or trunk. I am over 6'6 " and this is the coziest boat ever for a big man! The only gripe I can think of is it doesn't have a drink holder. A lot of people are complainging about these boats and I just purchased another one due to the great price and intend on fishing Sacramento Delta, Berryessa, Clear Lake and local North bay lakes as well as the russian river with this float. Maintenance is the key to happy kick boating and this boat outclasses all others I have tried...I also have a WaterSkeeter pontoon boat and Stearns kickboat (camo for waterfowling) I purchased from sierra but if I am tubin', you bet I am in the old reliable Day Tripper. All the whiners need to learn that a float tube is NOT a car tire and doesn't need to be 30PSI to do it's job. Tubes pressurize easily due to temperature variation and the pliability of the pontoons. Cold shrinks, Heat swells. I always carry a section of 3/4 OD vinyl tubing to lung fill the bladders as needed on the fly...thanks boston valves...See you at the US kick boat open with Bass N Tubes this year...

I've owned several float tubes, and this was my favorite from the moment I purchased it. Sits you high off the water for improved casting distance, very fast on the water, comfortable, tons of storage. However on my third camping trip of the season the upper U Section completely failed while I was on the water. The large pontoons and foam seat were more than enough for me to continue fishing for several hours after the upper U section had completley deflated. Upon returning to camp, discovered the seam on the inner side of the 'U' had completley blown out, with a 7 inch hole where the weld was. I was able to get a replacement tube, which blew out on my next excersion. The third replacement tube I reinforced with duck tape and left underinflated, which held for awhile before finally failing again. The design of the boat forces the open end of the U out, putting a lot of stress on the inner seams. Couple that with poor welds and a cheaper PVC material and you have recipe for failure. After fighting for 4 years with water skeeter customer service this tube ended up dying a horrible death on the camp fire. Too bad, great design if built better. Never had any bladder failures on my other tubes, even when fully inflated and dragged through the woods. On a side note, I never had ANY problems with the bottom pontoon bladders, just the upper u boat - again due to the design and materials.
