Purchased two packs for my wife and self for fishing the Florida Gulf Coast. Excellent workmanship, attention to detail, plenty of space for gear, and adjustable straps (several) allow for a custom, most comfortable fit. Almost spent five times the money on a similar model elsewhere. Obviously, we are very pleased with the packs.

It's very roomy and well organized for such a small bag. I also have a tackle backpack with room for everything we could possibly take along, but this little pack carries what 2-3 people need for streamside. Unless you're one of those anglers who want 3 different reels and everything that goes with it, this will cover your needs: an extra spool or two, tippet, small flyboxes, two water bottles and a snack. I don't know how waterproof it is (haven't dropped it in the water yet), but the zippers look pretty well-sealed.

I am primarily a fly fisherman; Use it in my canoe; also hiked many miles with this pack last year in S.E. Alaska and found it durable, easy to access and with just the right capacity to hold fly boxes, extra spool, snacks and a rain jacket. With 2 water bottles it slides down a bit, but not uncomfortably. Not waterproof, but resistant. Bought three more to give as gifts in'08!

I have not taking it fishing yet, however, I tried it on and did a couple of packing simulations. It seems well constructed, comfortable, and with enough space for a wadding/fly fishing trip.
