It is too long to wear pulled straight down. It covers my eyes a little bit, but it's not long enough to really fold up. If you have a cone head or man bun maybe this is perfect for you. I already have a similar beanie that fits weird like this one so i sent this back. For reference i have a large head too (normally L/XL in baseball hats).

Great hatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Brian from Chicagoland on Saturday, February 6, 2016really good purchase- good looking classic look hat, It's perfect for weather in the 20's (with not much wind) or lower 30's, It's not the most intense hat to be sure, but if you're looking for a more moderate increment, I would suggest this one. It's long enough to cover the ears, It has a great fleece lining, so the wool on the outside is not itchy at all, but to boot it's form fitting, but not in the least bit tight at all. very comfortable - very nice little hat. My girlfriend asked straight up if she could have it, so I said yes and ordered the opposite color scheme for myself again. The first day she wore it she got complemented on it - She doesn't even normally gravitate to beanie type hats either, but she apparently got taken by this one.

Good inner liner that seems warm enough for freezing temps, and is very comfortable, not being real tight or too loose. I just likely won't be wearing it in sub-zero windy weather as it doesn't look to be particularly insulated nor wind block capable.
