Closeouts. The color of moors in spring, this jacket cape from Weave of the Irish is made from a coarsely woven tweed with generous sleeve slits and beautiful buttons that have the look of etched bone.

I was disappointed in this when it came. The design is attractive, but the cape is a little short if one has the shoulders to fill it out. The color is appealing for spring wear, but the unlined, coarse-woven fabric is neither warm nor soft. It wrinkles if you look crosseyed at it. Trying to decide whether to send it back or not.

If you're looking for something other than a traditional jacket or sweater, this is a fun alternative. It's just starting to get cold here so I haven't worn it yet, so can't comment. But I think it's going to be a great thing to throw over a sweater or shirt for a little extra warmth. The weave is great -- a very classic, durable, Irish weave. The color is a bit bright but not garish. I think the design would be better if it were a little longer, which would add warmth and wind protection, and look better, more classic or dressy.
