We have a family ranch which sees us spending lots of hours wrangling livestock, fixing fences, thinning forest, etc. Need a tough but comfortable work boot that can take abuse and often sloppy conditions. These boots are nicely made. But the design leaves something to be desired. A boot that goes up as high as this, needs speed hooks as opposed to lace eyelets all the way. Makes getting them on a chore and difficult to accurately get your lacing comfort/fit. Also, the tongue gussett barely goes up the tongue at all. Which means when you are running a chainsaw, or encounter wet conditions, etc., you are likely to get stuff coming into the boot. I should have noticed these drawbacks before ordering. So I sent them back. Typical excellent service from Sierra Trading Post, though.
