Westcomb Ronin Soft Shell Jacket - Schoeller® 3XDRY® (For Men)

Mountaineering. The fabric is comfortable and breathable. Good pockets.

I have not had this jacket very long, but so far it seems very durable, comfortable, breathable, and water/stain resistant. I have even gotten several compliments on how it looks on me. It is heavy compared to other jackets I own, when you compare the warmth, but for everything but lightweight backpacking it is great. You will need a hardshell/windshirt to block any significant wind, as it is not windproof. Overall great for what I bought it for.

It fits and feels great. As a stand alone jacket it is not warm enough for this time of year in Colorado on cold days unless I wear something under it or another jacket over it. I really like this jacket otherwise.

This jacket is perfect for back country ski treks. Because the fabric breathes so well, I did not even have to take it off for the hike up the mountain. The pockets are even big enough to hold a nalgene bottle ( or a bullet thermos). The only thing I would add is a powder cuff for deep snow descents

Very good looking - very neat with a trim fit - no extra bulk here.

I've tried lots of different light jackets in the last few months, looking for the "right" one. I tried Cloudveil, North Face, Patagonia, Arc'teryx, and I have finally settled on the Westcomb Ronin. Fits GREAT. Just enough warmth for 40-55 degrees, it's water resistant (close enought to "proof" for me), and breathable. It's so close to the perfect jacket for me that I'm contemplating getting another one in a different color.

Sleeves seemed a bit long and tight compared to other similarly sized products.

It is different but a neat addition to the wardrobe

This jacket may be "pricey" but it is worth it! I bought it at almost full price on another site. I wish I had checked Sierra first!
