Black's Flies San Juan Worm Nymph Flies - 12

I bought this as a terrestrial option. I was fly fishing in the Spring before flies and really the nympths were going. One cast, some stripping with a jigging action & a nice trout was on. It is realistic looking

Use this one on the top and a tungsten below it. If you use it alone put a 6 or smaller shot ahead it it. These are priced so you won't worry about loosing a few.

use these in the surf and they work for smaller fish real well.

Just got these and haven't used them yet. They are of high quality, so I ordered both colors, because you know how these Colorado trout have a delicate gourmet palate. If not Merlot, than they want a Blush. It's always a tough date up here in the Rockies. I do expect to land a world record trout with these any day now. So, look for me smiling on the cover of Fly Fisherman with a big grin and long tale of how I landed it on this tiny San Juan worm.

I needed to modify the San Juan to make some Carp flies. Rather than make some San Juans at this price it was easier to buy these and modify them for what I wanted. Could have used an few in a different color but....
