5.0 out of 5 stars. Great netVerified Buyer Reviewed by Steve Jibs from Pennsylvania on Sunday, November 9, 2014This net is great for use in a boat or drift boat. The long handle allows you to stand comfortably and scoop fish rather than lean over the side and reach with a normal net.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great net, great priceReviewed by Trock31 from Montana on Thursday, June 19, 2014I just received this net and am very pleased. I wanted a boat net and this fits the bill. It's very long and is made of a beautiful wood. The net is rubber so it won't hurt the fish (as much). Other reviews have indicated that the net is shallow and that is accurate, but it will be plenty deep for Rocky Mountain trout.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Barely worth the discount priceReviewed by Bob Smith from DC Metro area on Monday, May 5, 2014Net arrived well packaged and fast as all products from STP do. That's where the good stuff about this purchase ends.
The first thing I saw when examining the net was that the end of the handle was cracked, the finish damaged and the screw for the lanyard was stripped out. The second discovery was that the cording used to attach the netting to the handle is flimsy uncoated STRING.
I paid so little for the net it is not worth the hassle of returning it. I will cut down the handle, sand and refinish it and re-attach the lanyard. After the shad run in May I will re-cord the net basket with proper cording.
If you don't want to or cannot do these things yourself stay away from this net. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. adequate netVerified Buyer Reviewed by hawks fan from washington on Thursday, May 1, 2014I have not used it yet, but I do have some concerns. the basket seems a little shallow and may be too small for big fish (which is why we all carry nets in the first place). I primarily fish eastern Washington streams with large trout. I don't know whether it will be big enough to land a 25+ inch fish, when I am lucky enough to hook one.
its a little heavier than some wood-handled nets I have had in the past. I saw a prior review about the strap breaking and I can see that may be a problem. however, most nets I have had in the past have similar problems.
I have some concern about the durability of the wood, but cannot say whether it will suffice without trying it first. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. She's cute, but shallow.Verified Buyer Reviewed by OhMiSam from Great Lakes on Thursday, April 17, 2014This net seems to be of good quality, but don't be fooled by the size. I gave it three stars because it seemed to be of good construction and quality, but lacked in size. I was expecting the larger hoop to have a respectively larger (i.e. deeper) net. Not so. The net would be fine for boating medium size trout, but is definitely too small (shallow) for Great Lakes region smallmouth bass. I returned it.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Looks fineReviewed by Nidge from MA on Monday, March 31, 2014quality and finish is low, net attachment to the frame looks suspect, but for $32 I can't complain

5.0 out of 5 stars. great dealReviewed by westerner from NE Oregon on Thursday, January 16, 2014Good looking net. Seems well made and well finished. The very long handle is most useful when fishing from a boat; It would be difficult to use when wading unless you are seven feet tall. The rubber netting is much better than standard cord or nylon netting. Since it won't use used for months it is difficult to comment on durability A very good purchase and a very good price

4.0 out of 5 stars. drift boat netReviewed by Anonymous from Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 1, 2013I was surprised upon receiving the net that it was a better quality that I expected. It's not a Brodin by any means but for the money it's a great value. Compared to other wooden boat nets in price, I'll easily get my moneys worth out of many outing with this net. The rubber net looks and feels like quality product.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Rubber net, long handleReviewed by rshfish from CT on Monday, April 29, 2013Perfect for canoe fishing. This design is better for the fish, but doesn't catch hooks the way other fine mesh, fish friendly nets do. It floats, a nice feature. Seems very well designed and finished.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Wetfly Rubber netReviewed by Filson for women from South carolina on Sunday, April 28, 2013Great value for the price. Laminateed wood handle is very nice and as good a quality as custom nets costing 3x as much. Could have a deeper basket but at this price its just fine. Rubber netting material is exactly the same as the expensive C & R nets. Great for boating fish. Bought one for my son then ordered myself one as well.
