I wrote my 1st review without a good test. The coat feels great and with the liner it is real warm. I wanted the coat to wear while hiking in rain, snow and cold weather. It will not work for this use. It wicks but it does not breathe. I wore it for a short 4 mile walk in light snow. I was wet when I had finished my walk. It did not breathe and it did not keep me dry. I wore it again, (without the liner). It was not snowing or raining but I was wet because it does not breathe. I will wear it for some other cold weather activity wear I do not need it to breathe.

I am retired and hiking, with my dogs, year around is my hoby. I need clothes that work in snow, rain, wind and cold weather. I have only worn the coat a few times but I think it will fit my needs. The price was great.

versatile jacket - with liner and shell worn though, all inner pockets are blocked by the liner leaving you with only two outer hip pockets in the shell. You can get to some more inner pockets by partially unzipping the liner from the shell, but this could have been done better. Columbia is the obvious target of WS, and that maker has little problem integrating various layers of pockets into both liner and shell, though admittedly only in their higher end models. If you can live with somewhat limited pocket space, you will find this jacket to be comfortable, very moisture resistant and warm. The reversible liner is a great idea, and materials and construction are excellent.

I thought the interior fleece jacket was too small (for me), so, I returned it.

There is a single zipper on the shell front closure. That means if the liner is zipped into the shell, the only was to close the shell is by velcro fastener - woefully inadequate in blustery, wet weather. The liner can be fastened but not zipped to shell - then liner and shell are zipped closed separately - provides protection but is rather cumbersome.

used this jacket for a two week rafting trip to S.E. alaska. While the outer layer didn't get the full monty wet treatment, the inner fleece lined layer got pretty wet outside when worn by itself and stayed dry. No complaints, and a super value.

I'm replacing my last white sierra that I've had for over ten years. I've got faith it will be as good.

Great for traveling-the liner allows use in really cold environments. Great wind and rain jacket too! All around multiple use jacket.

Great jacket especially for the price. It can be worn various ways to make it warmer or just use the outside jacket for rainy days
