It was nice to actually find a pair of pants sized above a misses. The top (shorts) fit nicely. The lower (zip off) leg is saggy and sloppy. If they weren't such a good deal I would likely return them, but for the price I can just wear them as shorts and have the legs for an emergency. These will be my go-to canoeing pants. Don't think I would ever be comfortable walking around in the legs. They make my legs look like tree trunks and hang festooned. Very light weight. Not for brush kicking, but I'm sure they'll dry quickly.

These pants are incredibly light, comfortable and quick drying. I could not go 5 stars because size 20 is not avaiable in a petite length so they are waaaay too long. I had to hem them and I hate sewing so they sat around for weeks until I got out the needle and thread. As wonderful a pants as they are---- they would be perfect if all lengths were avaiable.

I wear a 16 in jeans (not usually the 16 W just the regular 16) & am having a hard time finding hiking pants that fit. So this time I went for the 1X which says its size 16W - 18W, but found these simultaneously too large in the waist AND too tight in the hips. Bummer! Debating whether to try the next size up... they do seem like a quality product, but I know from experience with this type of cut that by the time I find a fit in the hips & thighs, the waist will give me that "paper bag effect" I so loathe...

I have tried them on and so far I think they will be great. We will be traveling the month of June so I will be able to tell you how comfortable they are and how they hold up with wear and tear after the trip.
