Reviewed by Always Cold from New York, NY on Thursday, January 31, 2013I bought this for my slender daughter...she is 4'10", ~ 80 lbs, and the L was too short and the XL was way too wide. She can tolerate pants that are too wide as long as they have some kind of adjustable waist but these don't, so back they went. I think if the size is right they are OK snow pants, especially for the price, but definitely NOT for slim fit kids.

I thought of investing on a winter gear to wear inside of my apartment because I do not use a heater. I thought of this after watching the TV broadcast about Richard Proenneke who lived in the cabin in the wilderness. This pair of insulated pants is just perfect to keep me warm at night in my apartment. The temperature inside of my place is about 48-52 F in winter, so it is not icy cold. However, it is cold enough without this pair of pants for me. I wish there were pockets at sides at the hip area (There is only one pocket on the side of a left thigh). I am 5'1" (adult female) with short legs, and the length is perfect. I feel bulky, but it maybe the way it is with this kind of pants. (I also wear another pair of legging-like pants inside.) I wish I already had the pants last year. I do not know how this pair of pants would hold outside in winter as an outdoor gear, but it is excellent for my usage in my apartment.
