This jacket kept my son warm for two nights and three days on Mt. Rainier where he helped build an igloo and went sledding non-stop. The built-in hood was especially effective during a snow/wind storm our second night on the mountain.

Exactly what I was looking for. I'm tall and this fits well and is very comfortable. Nice fabric feel, good sleeve and body length. Hood offers good head cover but can be a little floppy however can be removed. Well made.
    Glad I bought this.

I bought a Large and it was a little big worn by itself (I'm 5'11', 175 lbs). When putting layers underneath, though, it fit well. It's hard to get the zipper started and the hood is a bit flimsy. Other than that, though, there are lots of pockets, it looks good, etc. It fit my needs well.

Unfortunately I never used this jacket! When trying it on, it was comfortable but the zipper sticks on the material at the top when unzipping. It was mentioned in another review as well but I thought maybe that was an anomoly. Not so, bad zipper design!

    • Answer The lining in the White Sierra Drifter Jacket does not zip out.

    • Answer I would not recommend this jacket as a warm winter jacket. You could make it warm with layering underneath but alone it may not be enough.

    • Answer This is a shell you would probably need to have an insulating layer under it on real cold days.
