The lightweight hiking fabric is just the best that I can find at the (STP) price.
These shorts, purchased for my active soon-to-be six year old son, are the same fabric, just cut to his size and minus the bells and whistles outside of a side cargo pocket. Just as lightweight, just as easy-going. They'll make for awesome hiking/knocking around shorts this summer. -

My sister will be traveling and wanted clothing that she could wash and dry herself. I did buy two pair for myself for yard work, they have a high waist so bending is easy. I did have to buy xl for me and they worked out just fine. I am a womens size 4 or 6 in shorts.

My sister was hoping to pack light, so she needed clothing that would wash and dry fast. Looks like these will fork just fine. They are true to size . He is very thin and tall, bought him a medium.
