It's a great jacket.

this is the perfect jacket for everyday. great with a fleece under on cooler days. wears well washes well looks and feels great. i bought another just in case something were to happen to my current one.

I ordered this for a gift but liked it so much, I ordered one for myself.

I've only had this coat a few weeks and got it because of the positive reviews and the cost. It's exactly what I expected, nothing too fancy, but great for the price. The zippers on the pockets seem to be a little light weight and don't moove as smooth as they could - though this is a minor problem for me. Great basic coat. I've been wearing it in temps in the upper 30s, 40s and 50s and it's served me well. I had it on in 35 degree weather with only a single layer under and didn't feel the wind at all.

Color is a little too UPS brown.

I bought this jacket to go under my bigger gortex ski jacket when really cold. I like the fit, very comfortable. I'm sure I will be wearing this jacket a lot in fall. It's not real heavy but will block the wind and do what I want. Around the neck it has padding so when the zipper is all the way up it wont dig into your chin. This is important when cold! I would recommend this jacket.

I wasn't too sure about this jacket since there were no reviews on it. So I ordered it and the Columbia Crystal Crest Sportsware Soft Shell that had lots of reviews. I ended up returning the Columbia! This jacket had almost everything the Columbia had, and it does not pucker when bent or sitting. The seams are not taped, which allows freer movement. And from past experience you do not need taped seems for most activities and weather.The color is a nice milk chocolate brown. The chin guard is white, which will probably show dirt over time, but is a small price to pay for a [$] softshell! The jacket, pockets, and chin guard are lined with a very soft microfleece-like material.I am 5'7" and the length of the jacket is perfect.The sleeves have an adjustment at the cuff, so even if they are too long, they can be tightened to fit. For me they were perfect.There is no waist cinch for skiing, but the jacket is not baggy. So it still looks nice and is functional for everything else.

I was a little leary when ordering because no one had written a review, so I bought the Columbia women's softshell that had numerous reviews and this one. I actually like this one better. The zippers are not taped like the Columbia, but that allows the jacket to not pucker when sitting or bending over. The zippers are YKK, just like the Columbia. There are 2 zippered hand pockets that are lined, so it keeps your hands warm. I am 5'7" and the length of the coat was perfect. The Columbia seemed a little short if I bent over. The chin guard and inner lining are white, so that will probably get dirty, but the outer shoftshell is a milk chocolate brown, so it should not show dirt. The overall look of the coat is very nice and is stylish enough to wear out and about. I went camping and woke up to 40 degree weather and was warm with just a T-shirt underneath. Usually I am cold all the time. The true test will be spring skiing and wet weather, but I love the coat! I am returning the Columbia.
