    I love these shorts, even ordered a second pair. The fit is great, but we all know we are different shapes. I'm 5' 8.5" with a somewhat athletic build - a little fuller through the thighs and narrow at the waist. Many times pants/shorts on me fit through the seat, hips and legs but gap in the back at the waist. I ordered a size 10 and a size 8. The size 8 fit and I thought the 10 would really be big, however there was not as big a difference as I expected. I tend to wear my clothes a little looser and was more comfortable in the 10 and the waist did not gap in the back. The waist sits just below the waist (lower with the 8 on me). I was a little surprised wen some reviews complained the waist as too high. As I said before, we all have different shapes. The bit of stretch in the fabric makes them super comfortable but the fabric doesn't appear to have spandex in it.
