5.0 out of 5 stars. comfort and style for us zaftig womenVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nyla from Oregon on Sunday, January 17, 2016These lightweight capris are surprisingly flattering. I'm used to plus size pants which somehow end up emphasizing the muffin top, not these. The fit is true to size and not bad looking at all. I"m 5'4 and there a bit longer than a true capris but I kind of like that. They're lightweight and will pack up into almost nothing. I'll be taking them on a demanding month long trip in July. I expect them to hold up but time will tell.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very happy nowVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Perth, Western Australia on Tuesday, April 28, 2015I originally ordered these capris in size 2x. For reference, I am 5'5" tall and have a waist circumference of 41". I absolutely hate wearing anything tight around my waist. These were, unfortunately, way too big everywhere, but particularly around the waist. Think Bombay bloomers!
As I loved the material and the design, I decided to try the 1x. Success! They fit perfectly! The length comes to just above the ankle and the waist is roomy, but doesn't 'balloon' as with the 2x. There is still plenty of room in the legs but they are not too wide. The material feels nice and soft I can't detect any annoying rustling sound which can be evident when the material is too stiff.
When travelling to hot, humid climates I usually wear Gramicci Rocket Dry long pants, however I think that these will be good replacements for them. Hopefully they will dry overnight in the hotel room and be as wrinkle free as White Sierra's excellent Gobi Desert shirts, of which I have many, and which I'll team with these capris. I refuse to iron clothes when travelling so, for me, moisture wicking, wash and wear clothes are the way to go. I can also see these capris being excellent for dog walking, particular during our hot summers.
I would say that, there is quite a big jump in the size regarding roominess between the 1x and 2x, so you might like to bear this in mind when choosing your size.

3.0 out of 5 stars. true to size but arrived stainedReviewed by Lena Up North from Up North on Monday, April 13, 2015I'm keeping these for gardening and camping, but it would have been nice if they'd arrived in better shape. The fabric is lightweight, and the fit seems accurate. For the price, I was expecting better quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great summer pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from SF Bay Area CA on Wednesday, March 25, 2015Being nylon, and lightweight, these are great warm weather pants. The pockets are deep and mesh lined, the built in belt with elastic waist fits well with its plastic (!) buckle (tho the end hangs, wish there were belt loops) and the lenghth is just right - ankle length for this 5' tall woman. Love em for gardening. Good value!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Acceptable capris - nice to have in PLUS sizesVerified Buyer Reviewed by AspenGal from Aspen, CO on Sunday, February 15, 2015Many 'outdoor'-clothing companies seem to think women larger than a size 14 never go hiking, camping, skiing, or traveling - thank heavens White Sierra does NOT have that mind-set!
I already own 2 long-sleeve and 2 short-sleeve 'Gobi' shirts, and 2 pairs of 'convertible' pants (zip-off legs to form long shorts) from White Sierra, and was looking for some crop pants or capris in the same fabric to use for travel to Vietnam this year, and Java-Bali next year. Of course I started my search with White Sierra and was lucky to find these capris on Sierra Trading Post at an excellent price.
I've learned this brand runs one size 'smaller' than others in both tops and bottoms; I ordered the same size I have in the convertible long pants, and these capris fit the same. I had to play with the elastic at the bottom of the legs - if they were left as wide as possible I thought the legs were TOO wide (made my short legs look even shorter). But if tightened too much (so the bottoms touched my skin) they looked like ridiculous 'puffy pants'. I finally settled on tightening the elastic just enough so I could tie a knot in it to prevent it from loosening.
The only issue I have with these capris is the waist belt - I could pull it tight enough to fit my waist, but that resulted in an additional 18" of 'belt' hanging out! I removed the 'belt' and inserted 1" wide waist-type elastic in same tunnel the belt had been in by attaching the elastic to the end of the belt with a safety pin - when I pulled out the belt, the elastic followed right behind. Afterwards I stitched the elastic ends down at the front just behind the slits the belt came out of. Now these capris are MUCH easier to put on and take off.
The 'Purple Rain' color isn't bad...it skews more to the blue spectrum, it's not a bright purple, so will be neutral enough to wear with most colored tops. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Cool caprisVerified Buyer Reviewed by Maggie from New Mexico on Thursday, August 7, 2014I got these in a 2x size and they fit. They are not stretch. I like that they are so cool. The green fatigue color is OK.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Extremely thinReviewed by airehead from denver on Wednesday, July 16, 2014I agree with the other reviewer in that they have absolutley no stretch, but you can see your undies through them DRY- I can't imagine what you could see if they got wet. They also run very small- I had gotten the 3X so I had PLENTY of space and they were tight across the thighs. Returned

4.0 out of 5 stars. good quality, comfortable, not stretchyReviewed by Anonymous from colorado on Wednesday, July 9, 2014I was looking for something comfortable, inexpensive and non-chafing for plus-size ladies, and I think these are great! However, they don't have any stretch. While I underwent a series of tests (lunges, squats, sitting cross-legged, etc) and they don't overly hinder movement, and certainly not for hiking purposes, I was hoping they would be stretchy, so if you're looking for something that has a little stretch, these aren't the pants for you. But they are quite comfortable, dry quickly, and very cool.
