I have a 3 1/2 year old who is tall. These bibs are just awesome, well made: sturdy zipper, soft and warm top, perfect amount of heft in the fill. BUT, my guy told me they don't feel good because they were just not long enough in the torso. So very sad, because these are perfect...going back to the adjustable bibs.

After buying the 3T I bought another pair for next year in 4T. These bibs are great for the toddler that likes to play in the snow. They aren't so bulky but they are durable and I love the built in vest so the snow doesn't work it's way over the waist line if they are wearing a shorter jacket. The vest portion of the bib also adds more warmth to those jackets that may not be well insulated.

I like Bibs so the snow doesn't sneak down their pants. We spent over an hour the other day in the snow rolling around and he stayed dry and warm, so that is all I need. Seems to run big which is good as it will last another season.
It is cut close to the body for warmth. I think whatever color you want is fine. I bought a girly color for my toddler granddaughter, but her older sister prefers black... so there you are. Accessories are more gender defining. There are lots to chose from on STP that are perfect for little guys. White Sierra is one of the best bargains around.

We bought the black one and I don't feel that the cut has a "girly look" to it. We have an upcoming boy who will be wearing them (after his big sister no longer fits) and other than the pink one, I would say they are definitely unisex. By the way. We LOVED this bib, the top part is very warm and soft plus it keeps the snow out completely, much better than the rest of our kids bibs.
