The best use for him is to separate the jackets and wear them individually. When we do receive the twice a year snow storm, he can wear both and stay warm in the snow.

It can be a winter coat for cold weather (but not frigid), or the inner fleece can be zipped out and be its own light weight jacket, and the outer shell can be a rain jacket. It is stylish too.

Answer Jacket does have a loop with a velcro closure at the end of the sleeve to hold the liner in place. Sorry, but there is no temperature rating. Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
