Spent a lot of time sitting on the snow and stayed dry and warm. A little puffy through the legs compared to my friend's expensive pants, but not overly so. Certainly better than the rental pants.

Answer The large waist will fit. The longest inseam we have is 32" though. With the proper layers they should be fine.
