I like the style and the quality of this jacket. It's very comfortable and the price is about right too!
Reviewed by Snoshoeguy from Central NY on Friday, November 14, 2014I've tried many soft shell jackets but no luck on sizing. I'm between a L and an XL. I'm 6' 1" and weigh 192lbs with a sleeve length of 33"-34" and a chest size of 45 1/2 in. I ordered a L and a xl. The XL was the better fit but the jacket is long. The material is very soft and the flannel lining doesn't bind when putting the jacket on. The hood fits over a baseball cap very nicely. Overall it is a very nice jacket for the price and believe me I've tried many. Whit Sierra does a nice job.

Reviewed by sunsetah from Florida on Monday, January 20, 2014I bought this Jacket for my Husband. It looks really nice on the site but is even better in "person". We got the Black color. The Fabric looks very nice, almost dressy and the plaid in the lining is a great color too.
It fits really well and is lightweight but warm.
Reviewed by Scott M from Southern Oregon on Saturday, January 4, 2014I originally bought this jacket in large (I border between medium and large) and it was way too big, but I liked the styling, so I re-purchased it in medium and am very happy It fits very well (5' 9", 160lb) with enough room for a fleece pullover underneath if needed.
The jacket isn't that warm. I've worn it comfortably with long sleeve T, plus pullover down to about freezing. Below that, I was starting to feel the cold. The jacket is very comfortable in high 30's and above and I primarily bought it for mild to cool days, so that's OK.
The styling is very nice with no garish company logo's and the zipper is excellent so far (I've had some trouble with zippers on other White Sierra items).
The softshell fabric resists wind and light rain very well as expected, but won't hold up to real rain.
Overall, this is a solid softshell jacket with a nice design and features. I would recommend this as a fall and spring jacket, not for cold winter days.
Reviewed by Butchdog from Minnesota on Tuesday, December 17, 2013I bought this to wear over a down jacket as a shell to protect me from the wind.
It works very well, the flannel lining is nice, the pockets are nicely lines also.
My only complaint is the hood which seems to be a bit big but cinched down it works great to shield me from the cold.
