In the photo this shirt looks like it has an A-line shape and drapes nicely from the bust.
I had high expectations for the shirt which I ordered in white and even in its package it looked great. In fact I had some concerns that it might be too large.
Goes to show how important it is to try things on before you decide. The shirt was very flattering to my chest and shoulders. The trim and short henley placket is delicate and feminine without being cutesy.
Unfortunately the rest of the shirt has no real shaping A-line or otherwise. And the appliqué flower which as one reviewer wrote is indeed subtle at the same time almost looked almost like a sewing error when I wore the shirt. In fact at first I couldn't figure out what I was looking at it looked so weird.
It's entirely possible that the shirt just doesn't work for my body shape since it's received positive reviews. I'm 5'3" about 130 pounds mostly in my tummy and hips so take that into account. On a slimmer and/or taller woman it might look great.
It may also be that the white color doesn't work in this particular style.
