I bought this as a gift for my husband, and I frankly had second thoughts about giving it to him versus keeping it myself to sleep in. It is soft and luxurious-feeling. I have not yet washed it, so I can't speak to whether or not it will shrink or otherwise. He was very pleased with it.

Answer I feel that it runs a bit on the small side, but worth buying.

Answer it depends on the function you are after. If you want a tight sport fit then go with the small for you but if you want a more loose casual weekend wear kind of look go with the medium. For me I'm 200# and the large was great on my 5'11" stocky frame.|Hope this helps
