I chose white plaid because it's more neutral and I really don't think keeping it clean will be a problem because there's so much gray and a touch of blue in the plaid. I got several compliments on it, which made me happy I decided to order it. Previously I only had a dressier raincoat with removable warm lining and a vinyl one with fabric lining. It was about time to upgrade to something more practical and breathable. Love it!

Answer This is just a rain coat, it is not insulated.

Answer It's still winter here, but I would say yes it is one of the lightest raincoats I have found as unlike Goretex etc. it is a single layer fabric and it is unlined and has some mesh vents in several place. It packs very small. I bought this jacket intending to wear it in the city and for all but the coldest weather(I have longer and heavier technical jackets for winter). Hope that helps!

Answer It definitely isn't for warmth (unless of course you layer under it). I wear it in Missouri heat on a rainy day and am just fine
