    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I was disappointed this time which is rare for my dealings with Sierra. I usually never return anything. However this White Sierra jacket had a short hood...felt like a child's hood on a woman's jacket. The medium felt small and I would not be able to layer clothing under it much and lastly there was no extra venting. The first jacket I own from White Sierra had venting zippers under the arms and overall just better venting all around. Whne you are hiking in the Adirondacks the weather can be pretty muggy in the rain so it is important to have breathability.
