But I haven't gone on the vacation they are intended for yet, nor has it rained in my backyard since I received them, so I can't vouch for the waterproof quality. I guess I could put them on and stand in the shower, but........

Side zip on leg make them easy to pull on over hiking boots. Not super breathable, but will serve their purpose. A side-zip pocket on the right can store my chapstick and a few tissues. A nice product.

Answer My XL measures 31.5". I am 5'4" and wear a size 12. They are a bit short, but will normally wear with hiking boots so it's OK
