Bought these for my son to replace a pair he outgrew. He likes them and says they are very comfortable.
He likes the fact that he can zip off the pantlegs and have shorts if it gets warm.
They fit well and are a nice colour.

I have been buying, wearing, wearing out, and buying more White Sierra Pants for at least 10 years now. I really like them. They fit me well, I like that the leg zippers are labeled left & right for reinstalling them. I like all the pockets. The front pockets are not very deep so be careful you don't lose your keys. When I hike I put my keys in a velcro close cargo pocket. It would be nice if there was a little key ring clasp in on of the pockets. All there pants come with a belt but it is very narrow. I usually discard the belt and use a 1-1/2" web belt with a slider buckle.

I like that there are velcro closures and zippered openings on the cuffs so I can pull the pant legs over my boots.

Best of is that White Sierra convertible pants are about half the price of the trendy brands.

Took one star off due to the stitches fraying after one wear that did not involve any hardcore activity.

These have quickly become my favorite pair of every day around the house pants while also serving as my go to hiking pants. Just hiked 10 miles round trip in The Great Smoky Mountains Yesterday. Hot and humid but stayed comfy throughout. Also love that the pants come with a belt but, that the belt is not connected so, I am able to use any belt I like. Not a fan of built in belts. Would highly recommend.

I have to say I love these pants. First of all, I think they fit pretty solidly, I am 6'1, about 220, and I normally wear a 32 inseam and either a 34 or 36 waist, depending on the brand, and the large 32 inseam fit great. They definitely have some stretch to them, but not a ton. I really like the material, it is light but feels durable, water beads and runs off, has some stretch to it, and is quite cool, you could wear them as pants well into the 70's and still be comfy.

Zip offs are nice, for me they sit just above the knee, which is perfect. I love the number of pockets, two cargo with velcro, a slim pocket next to the cargo with velcro, good for a phone, two velcro back pockets, and two generous front pockets, and the pair I got were not mesh pockets.

Probably the best feature are the adjustable and zip bottom cuffs. These will zip up about 6 to 8 inches, which means you can convert them to shorts without taking off your boots or shoes. It also has a velcro strap on the bottom, so you can tighten up the bottom of the pants. I liked this because the pants are a little on the baggy side, but you can tighten them up on the bottom, which makes them appear much slimmer.

I think these are about the perfect hiking pants, tons of storage, cool and breathable, yet durable, resists water, highly adjustable. The only warning I would give is these aren't as stretchy as some other similar pants, so if you were doing a lot of climbing you might want something that has more stretch.

    • Answer Hi...Yes the lower section is removable and able to be taken over your boots.
This is because the bottom section has a zip that opens wide allowing easy removal.

    • Answer I wasn't sure what you were asking about and since I haven't worn them yet I went and checked and the answer is yes there is a zipper on the side so you can remove that section without taking your boots off. Bought this for an African safari that we are taking in October. Glad I looked and glad that I could give you a thumbs up response.

    • Answer At the bottom of the cuff they have a velcro tab that tightens around your ankle. There is also an approximately 6 to 8 inch zipper that zips up the leg to allow more room.

    • Answer There are partial ~ 8" zips on the outside seam. Sufficient for removing boots or a bit of ventilation. Secured at the bottom with a velcro tab.

  • Question “are these slim fit or looser fit”
Asked on 4/16/2014 4:09:00 PM by carson from Oklahoma
    • Answer More towards the slim side. I actually have them on right now and I can pull the material maybe an inch away from my thighs. I'm a 31.5" waist and the medium fit me perfectly. The material is lightweight, so they don't bind at all.
