Boots arrived quickly and safely, to the remote place away from home where I needed replacement boots. They fit from the beginning. I wore them around the house for one day to break them in, then went on to ski everyday for two weeks with excellent performance (or anyway the boots performed well!). Warm, dry, comfortable.

The first pair I bought were 44, too small but fit my wife so she kept them, so I ordered a 45 and fit great, I wear a size 11.

I love these boots. I exchanged them at my local store for a 42, so size up. I ordered a 39 according to the chart. However, in all fairness when we researched sizing, found a pretty diverse range. For this boot, go up. I'm an 8.5 and took a 42 in this boot.

This is my first pair of touring boots. I use these boots for backcountry skiing and breaking trail. These boots are great for "out of track" skiing and I haven't had any problems. They fit true to size and have good support. This boots work great for me and I loved the price!!

  • Question “Which bindings do these actually fit? I have Rottefella white/red 75mm 3 pin bindings|and these boots don't fit. The width of the actual boot is too wide/tongue is not|long enough to give the boot clearance with the back of the binding.||Any input would be great, as I now need new bindings to fit the boot?”
Asked on 12/22/2011 12:00:00 AM by lyn from Fort Collins, CO
    • Answer Thats strange, These boots should fit most all 75mm 3pin bindings. I would recommend taking them to a ski shop and try out different bindings

  • Question “Would like to see picture of the underside of the boot HEEL. We have three pin bindings and then a seperate piece for the heel. The heel would need a ridge in the center to fit these. Also looking for additional heel pieces for the boots as one has cracked. Any advice?”
Asked on 1/10/2011 12:00:00 AM by marjoe from indy, in
    • Answer I would contact the manufacturer of the boot or see if a cobbler could fix it. These boots do not have a ridge in or on the heel.

  • Question “Are these boots appropriate for touring in very cold weather?”
Asked on 12/13/2010 12:00:00 AM by Marguerite from Girdwood, AK
    • Answer These boots will be warm with a thick sock with the Thinsulate insulation, but it will depend on each person with how warm they are.
Answered on 12/27/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I had them out yesterday in 14 to minus 4 F (with wind chill) on groomed trails for a couple hours and had no issues--they were very warm. Gaiters were unnecessary, but if it were colder, I would have added them.
Answered on 12/31/2010 12:00:00 AM by BF from Boise, ID
    • Answer Yes. They're super warm. I've only gone out in about 15 degree weather and been totally fine, but I think even colder would be fine.

  • Question “Can these be used with MSR Denali Evolve Snowshoes, or is there some other kind of shoe/boot you recommend for that activity? I was thinking these might fit both my old cross country skies and my new snowshoes.”
Asked on 12/8/2010 12:00:00 AM by Lisa from Ipswich, MA
    • Answer I would not recommend this boot with snowshoes as the front lip would make it difficult. It's best to use a hiking boot or a winter boot for snowshoeing.
