    Pros:
    Warm
    Cons:
    Toe tab resistance
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Well, these boots are warm and seem durable. But having said that, I think the soft rubber sole is a problem especially where the tab interlocks with the three pin binding. I could not easily and securely bind the boots to the skis while on the trail. They are just too cumbersome. The rubber of the toe tab does not slide easily into place, too much resistance to be sure the tab aligns directly with the three holes on the binding.

I bought these boots for my 16 yr. old son. He wore them this past weekend and really liked them. They were comfortable, kept his feet warm, and provided good support.

What a great boot for the price! I had initially intended on using this boot strictly for skiing but after hiking 8 miles into a wilderness area on wind-blown trail I was pleasantly surprised at how well my feet felt compared to my attitude. I usually end up carrying an extra set of boots for snowshoeing once the snow gets too deep for skiing but I think these will work just fine. Now I have a hiking, skiing, snowshoe boot with a comfortable fit. Thanks!

    Pros:
Good Value, High Quality, Right fit for wide feet
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I Nordic skied for 23 years in Vermont winters and the past 4 in the Washington Cascades and after trying numerous brands of boots I never had the experience of having truly warm feet because none of the boots were built wide enough for my 9 EEE feet. That made it a very pleasant experience to find these Whitewoods boots gave me plenty of room even with heavy winter blend socks on so I was able to ski for hours without my feet ever once feeling cold. I've only skied in them 3 times so I can't say anything about durability but them seem well made and are very light and comfortable. They're not designed for backcountry skiing but if you're just out for some off track exercise touring, they should serve you well - and if you have wide feet like mine, you're in for a surprise - your feet will be warm!

These boots exceeded my expectations! For such a low price, I thought I would receive mediocre boots, at best. They fit great, look great and are a great value! For old time touring ski's, being able to find these boots was awesome. [...]
