Reviewed by Avid hiker from B.C., Canada on Tuesday, March 12, 2013Based on the many reviews that this turtleneck fits small, I ordered two Large, one in blue and one in pink. The blue one fits perfectly, like a medium size while the pink one fits like an actual large. The labels in both shirts are identical. When I overlaid them, the larger one is about 3/4" wider and longer on all sides. Consequently, the shirt flops and the turtleneck is very loose around the neck. The fabric is very comfortable and feels nice on the skin. I am dismayed however about the inconsistent sizing even when they're from the same lot. I would like to exchange the one that is too large, but I don't have any confidence now that I would get a replacement that fits. If it weren't for the sizing discrepancy, I'd give the shirt 5 stars.

It too was not really a good fit, but since Sierra Trading charges $5.95 for each return, I decided to keep the shirt. This $16.95 t-neck ended up costing me $31.80 (shipping for the first shirt, return of the shirt, then shipping for the large shirt), not much of a bargain for a shirt that doesn't fit. I would not recommend getting anything from this manufacturer.

I have a slender neck but this turtleneck fits well, with just a little extra room (so it should fit a "normal" size neck perfectly). The sleeve length is just slightly shorter than on my other tops but not a real issue. I am 36" in the bust and generally have to try on both Small and Medium sizes. These tops are roomy, so a Small fits well. I'm very happy that I bought this shirt.

This one is much more synthetic feeling, but it it soft and stretchy, waffled fleece on the inside and smooth on the outside. It is warm and easy wash and wear. Neck is nice and tall and stays up when not folded down.
