I first bought 2 of these shirts for an expedition in Antarctica. They worked so well, I just bought 2 more. I find the material helps retain body heat, unlike some of the other smoother materials. I also like the colors.

I ordered the green, zipper is black. The color is absolutely lovely. My only complaint is the sleeves. Just like other reviewers, the top runs small. I normally wear a size medium and ordered a size large. Fits perfectly except for sleeve length. The sleeve falls right above my wrist bone. I am taking a glass half full approach to the top. Shorter sleeves mean I don't have to worry about getting them wet when playing in the water with children. Definitely warm and snugly. I do not find the fabric scratchy but did have to trim the excess fabric around the zipper.

I don't normally have problems with fabrics irritating my skin, but this fabric was too scratchy feeling for me. Was well made & I did order a size up (normally wear a small so ordered a med), but decided to return it because of how it felt.
These do run small, I generally wear a M but a L fit comfortably.

You'll find that the body of the shirt fits fine in a medium. It won't be tight, but will sit nicely. But you'll find the sleeves too short if you want them to be touching your wrists, especially when your arms are extended. I'm 5'4" and even with my hands by my sides the sleeves only just about reach my wrists.
