My wife stands 5'2" and weighs 115 lbs. I thought surely a Medium would be proper. Never have I had to purchase a Large for my wife
in any type clothing, certainly never from Sierra Trading Post. Customers should be cautioned about size anomalies, especially when considering
2nd's or Irregulars. Having paid $5.95 to shipping to me for this $11.00 item, I won't pay another $5.95 to return it and end up with $11.95 out of pocket
for nothing. I'll jut gift it.

I was disappointed in this product. I am 5'3" and weigh 137. I usual wear a medium or sometimes even small. I got a medium and the sleeves were very tight and the shirt was too tight. The photo is deceptive. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

I think this base layer runs true to size. I order the orange with white zipper, in a Small. I am 5'1", 120 lbs, 34C chest; and this top was nice and form-fitting--just like a base layer should be. It looks flowy/too loose at the bottom in the picture so I was concerned. It isn't, which is good. Didn't notice any blemish at first glance; but I didn't think to really investigate before putting it in my closet.

I was surprised - the top fits like a first layer that hugs your frame and it is more of a lime green than the grass green in the picture. So, it is definitely a base layer. The zipper at the neckline is not smooth, so a bit irritating. Would not be an issue, if you had a turtle neck underneath, but that is not likely to fit. Having said this, it will be of use and was worth the sale price.
These do run small, I generally wear a M but a L fit comfortably.

You'll find that the body of the shirt fits fine in a medium. It won't be tight, but will sit nicely. But you'll find the sleeves too short if you want them to be touching your wrists, especially when your arms are extended. I'm 5'4" and even with my hands by my sides the sleeves only just about reach my wrists.

I have two of these in the same, white color. I first ordered a small. I usually always wear a small in all brands and cuts of clothing. I'm 5'9" and my weight is usually 135 but due to hypothyroidism I recently gained 30 lbs in 3 weeks. While the small still fits, I only wear it as one of my first few layers as I don't find it a comfortable fit if I wear other layers under it. I tend to wear this not next to the skin, but use it more as a mid-layer. I find that the nice hefty weight of it lends itself to that use. I find the Medium to be more versatile, giving me more options of how many layers I can comfortable fit under it. (To simplify the fit, I almost always still wear a small, despite the weight gain. (I suppose I can thank the Lycra for that) but I found this shirt DOES noticeably run on the small side and am happier with the Medium, one size larger than I usually wear.
(NOTE: I also have difficulty controlling my body temperature and sit outside for hours at a time at night reading in the middle of winter (like the nut that I am)) so I wear multiple layers, never just the simple method of base layer, mid-layer and inslated coat or jacket. (No, I can never do things the simple way :-))
