I wear this under a wool sweater for cold water wading. Keeps me warm in early Spring. Added plus is that I don't look like a slob when I stop at the convenience store to get my coffee.

I bought this product in blue (44) because it was 100% polyester and could take a beating. I bought another in black (27), same model number and STP product number, but the material was very different (92% polyester, 8% lycra) and could not be used as the earlier model. STP description does not say anything about the material for these PARTICULAR colors being different, only for 01, 03, and 64.
Question
“Like some other reviewers, I don't like the shiny version of the fabric -- at least not for wearing to work. Can we get an updated list of which are matte and which are shiny?||I would actually like to see the two fabric types listed as separate items. The shiny stuff is great baselayer because it lets you slip the next layer on easier. The matte just looks way better for casual wear.”

Answer
Comfortrel® is a type of polyester fiber and improvement over original Fortrel®. The modification in the polymer and physical design of the fiber itself give fabrics a fresher, softer, noticeably cooler feeling with superior breathability and wickability. It has a soft, natural hand, superb pill resistance, excellent shape retention, and a stability that insures against wrinkling, stretching, and shrinking. [Top]

Crazy, but I have seen several different kinds of fabrics used. I don't know if it is consistent, but tan and black were some awful shiny fabric that I would only wear as an underlayer. Olive, gray, and navy were normal knit fabric.

100% Polyester, which is a very generic term . There are many types of polyester fabrics, so they don't really help you out much here, but that's all I know.

Answer
it is a synthetic material that feels like cotton on your skin. with exercise and changing temperature (when the sun goes down here it drops about 15-20 degrees)you are still comfortable and not damp with exercise. I teach outside, so lots of exercise with periods of not moving. this product is excellent, but order one size bigger then you normally would.

I wash mine all the time. I usually put them in a polyester bag in a regular warm water load to protect the fabric from zippers. The dryer is an option I use about half the time, still in the bag, until mostly dry, then take out and hang the rest of the way to avoid wrinkles. Don't forget, this is a 100% plastic shirt - NEVER try to iron or use any form of direct heat on this. Hope this helps

Answer
Yes to both. Suggest turning them inside-out to make them last longer. Dry on low. Unlike cotton they do not need drying or fabric softener to soften them up. They never wrinkle. Don't iron.||The nice thing is that these fabrics don't lose their stretch for a long time, but drying will probably make it happen faster, but they're so cheap you can replace them.

I wouldn't use a dryer. Always line-dry these types of fabrics. They dry quickly anyway

The Wickers T-necks are machine washable, but I never dry them in the dryer. Any wicking/performance workout clothes I prefer to hang dry.
