Love this fishing vest. I bought it after several of my friends recommended it to me. I like all the separate compartments it has; that is a great feature in a fishing vest.comfortable, reasonably light weight. plenty of storage room for a couple days worth of flys and tackle. I do have one complaint. I am a skinny guy and there is no adjustment to pull the large front compartment closer to my chest, so it hangs out a few inches away from me. However, it does not interfere with my casting, and most fisherman with a little chub will never have this problem.

Bought to use for trout fishing. However, the zippers are of poor quality, they are very difficult to open and close, constantly sticking. Was never able to adjust the sling pack so it would stay close to my chest. No instructions provided. Returned item.

    It just didn't fit

    Describe Yourself:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This seemed to be a great product that would fit my needs for a pack that was smaller than a vest, but larger and more trim than a chest pack. Sadly, the pack just didn't "seat" well across my shoulder after multiple adjustments. That being said, I'm 6'3" and 260 lbs. I am very broad in the chest and shoulders. Fit issues aside, I can see how this pack would be very useful for the right person. The pockets are generous and everything seems to have a place. Zingers are included in this package. When asked whether I'd recommend this to a friend, I guess it depends on my friend.

I bought this product a few month ago. It is well built and look great plus lots of storage. I had to return it because I am a lefty and the pack gets in the way of casting. It slides off your shoulder when you cast. If they made one for left handed casters so the strap would be over my right shoulder I would buy one again.

...If you have tried the traditional vest-- but feel like a sack of salt has been on your shoulders all day... OR you have tried the big waist/fanny packs and get tired of twisting from the front to back and front, etc... Or you have tried the chest pack and feel like you might be 6 months pregnant(?). If you experienced any of the above and are looking for a GREAT system for carrying everything you need for a day on your favorite streams - BUY this thing now!! I carry a rain jacket-a real one, water bladder or bottle, or a couple cans of beer, some grub, my net for the big one, all the nic-nacs and 3 C&F fly boxes- plenty of flies. One more thing-- like a big waist pack-- I can wear this over a t-shirt or over my cold weather gear--- fleece and my shell. And finally, I don't need a lanyard either--- this thing rocks. Do you think I like it? I'd rate it 10 stars! As for recommending to a friend, I just bought two of these-- my kids have been plotting ways to steal mine-- no need-- they will each have their own.

The sewing on one of the cloth hinges was ripped out. It looks like a repair had been attempted on an original production defect but it didn't work. Not a big deal but it's quite a let down when you purchase a great item, only to find a defect.

Not a bad piece of gear, but seems like it might be designed for bigger guys. Im 5'11, 200lbs and had to cinch the waist straps all the way down to keep it from slipping off my shoulder. Other than the fit though, the pack performed as expected. Plenty of room for a good selection of flies and tippet, plus extra space for tools, food, a packable jacket and some water. Has held up well after a summer of use, and I have no plans whatsoever to replace it.

I was able to figure out how to get the sling to work with no problem. I have been using for about a week now and I really like it. The more I use it the more I like it. I did have to "work" at getting it to fit just right, but now it's good to go.
