I'm very happy with my purchase after the first cooking session. This is what I was looking for ... a deep, big pan that I can use for wok-like cooking as well as anything else that needs a high capacity pan. I've never bought WMF before, so wasn't sure what to expect. Very high quality. And I got a great deal.

Shaped like a wok, but when you pick it up, it's MUCH heavier than any standard steel wok, which tend to be made of thinner steel. You need that helper handle on the other side of the pan! The aluminum in the thick base precludes the quick heat-up and cool-down of a regular Chinese wok. All that said, it's a good-quality pan as long as you know what to watch for when cooking. Cleanup is easier than with thin steel woks, since rust isn't a problem, nor is seasoning.
